“Digital transformation is a continuous journey of striking the right balance between people, process, data and technology, with the goal of extracting value across the end-to-end supply chain. It is crucial for remaining competitive in a fast-changing world.”
I’m a digital transformation evangelist with a passion for technology, economics, and sustainability. With 14 years of experience in digital manufacturing, I have led projects focused on process optimization, automation, advanced process control, and sustainable hydrogen in the petrochemical, energy, and food & beverage industries.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Materials Engineering, Ghent University.
European Master’s in Materials Science, completed at the Technical University of Tampere, Technical University of Dresden, Technical University of Ljubljana, and Ghent University. Graduated in 2010.
At Barry Callebaut, I developed and implemented a global digital strategy over nine years, driving digital transformation and value creation across the operations and supply chain division, which encompassed 41 factories worldwide. I led the corporate digital innovation team, delivering initiatives such as the Smart Factory MES rollout, operational data and analytics, predictive modeling, and digital change management, with a strong emphasis on increasing lean productivity and sustainability.
Today, I am dedicated to driving innovation and operational efficiency by harmonizing data and technology with operating models and effective collaboration. In September 2024, I began working as an independent consultant and currently serve as the Director of Digital Strategy at La Lorraine Bakery Group.
